tripadvisorGreat location, beautiful hotel, good spa experience, great restaurants! We had access to spa amenities all day which was great. Great food at the restaurant/bar. Fast responses to text message inquiries. Turndown service was a nice unexpected perk.
MoreOne of my favorite hotels in Dallas. Great location, beautiful rooms, and several amazing restaurants. Make sure to see the view from the 49th floor.
MoreThe hotel strikes a rare balance between sophistication and comfort. The room exuded a quiet elegance, with muted noise levels, warm design elements, and thoughtfully curated lighting that created an immediate sense of relaxation. Every detail felt intentional and refined. The accommodations were among the best I’ve experienced in recent years. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, complemented by premium bedding and pillows. The bathroom was spacious, beautifully designed, and well equipped, further elevating an outstanding stay.
MoreDo not book at this hotel. I did to attend the Texas - OU game and take advantage of travel to and from via the adjacent DART train. This is an old bank building remodeled into retail, restaurants, condo’s and the hotel. It is structurally deficient lacking adequate sound proofing. The road noise made it impossible to sleep, our room was on the 12th floor. Only 1 out of 3 elevators worked Sat night, luke warm water at best in the showers and no ice machines on our floor. Witnessed a group sitting on the floor waiting for help to access their $1000 per night suite. No amount of decorating can overcome these deficiencies and all the hotel offered to do was comp one nights overnight parking charge.
MoreThompson Hotel is situated in downtown Dallas and close to the convention center which was my purpose for booking this location. Valet parking was easy with a small ramp up off of the street. The team was prompt and friendly noting to call ahead from the room to have the car ready before we needed to be downstairs. Check in was easy and I would like to give a shout out to Calista. I arrived at 8am the day of check-in and she was informative and friendly. Amenities were well maintained and clean including the pool and gym. I had the opportunity as a Globalist to be upgraded to the Elm suite. It was excellent. The room was expansive and well decorated. They mention a modern Manhattan decor and it is an apt description of the space. I did feel like I was back in NYC while in the room.( Although the Thompson hotel room in Manhattan is much smaller) The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space to stretch out. The one mark against this property is the Globalist breakfast at Little Daisy. You get $35 credit per person which isn't really enough to have a full breakfast. They are pretty strict with the credit which I haven't experienced at any other Hyatt property. Main entrees are around $20-25 and then coffee or any drink will run you $5 for black or up to $13 for a spritz. I have not felt so constricted with a breakfast budget at any location and a reasonable budget for a breakfast at this property would be ~$65 including tax and tip per person if they wanted fully include the breakfast. Right now it feels like a coupon.
