Shelby at Alaska Private Touring worked with me to set up a wonderful trip to Alaska. Due to an unforeseen illness, we had to cancel the first part of the trip, but Shelby helped us to adjust it so that it still worked out great. The highlights were our driver/guide Dan for the beginning and end of the trip who was excellent!! During some of our our transit or wait times he took us on a couple of extra hikes that were great. Our highlight was Lake Clark Lodge and two amazing flyout bear adventures with excellent guides from the Lodge taking us into a river and creek with waders to really see the bears in their environment. It was a great trip and very well organized by Alaska Private Touring.

Alaska private touring put together a great itinerary. We had the same driver/guide Steve the entire time and he was very professional. Trip was from Anchorage to Talkeetna to Denali to Fairbanks with a stop for a boat trip from Seward. They were very responsive. Special place to stay in Talkeetna- The Denali Overlook Inn. Shout out to Maleia at the Denali Overlook Inn for the best breakfasts ever. We had great weather and 2 days of clear views of Mt. Denali. Our guides for hiking were great. We did dog mushing which was a really great experience and a learning experience. If you want a quintessential American experience try Cabin Night at the Denali Park Village. Cybill from Alaska Private Touring put together a trip that perfectly matched what my wife and I were looking for. She interviewed us about our likes and dislikes and chose lodges that made all the difference in our experiences (great accommodations and amazing food) while having put together a great line-up of excursions that lead us to up close and personal bear encounters, whale sightings and glacier experiences. APT did a great job designing a private tour which included two partially disabled people (which is why we went with a private tour). Our tour guide was excellent and just about everything went very well on the tour. I would recommend them.
