I was visiting on a day they weren't open, but I was still able to walk around the outside and see some of the old circus stuff they had out here and I really enjoyed it. My reason for visiting Gibsonton was because of the X Files episode Humbug that was about this town and since the town has changed quite a bit in the last 30 years, I was happy that I could still see a bit of the old circus history outside this museum.

Outstanding experience. History of the industry on full display. Much effort has been put into this so that it may never be forgotten. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It brought back many fond memories. Highly recommended.

Many people who worked in traveling carnivals have settled in the area near this museum. The museum itself is a treasure of carnival life. It is very well presented and clean as can be. It has a full size Ferris wheel inside as well as a Merry go round. There is also a miniature carnival that is hand made, it is amazing. Anything you ever wanted to know about carnivals you will find here.
