The Baltimore Art Gallery was in a holiday mood with art themed decorations in the front window and cider for sipping in the back gallery. In between were well organized display bins that highlighted one of the key missions of the gallery, supporting local painters who use either oil or acrylic. An annual group of nine artists are provided three set sized of canvas, which they turn into representations of local Baltimore scenes or animal, floral, abstract, or nature pictures of their own interest. Frames are available for each of the three sizes, making sales of their output easier. The proprietors follow up on these artist fellows and report that some are selling quite well in the art world, while others have moved on to different interests. The concept is commendable. Prices for paintings are standardized by size, giving each fellow an even chance. A visit and perusal is well worth the time.
