MoreThe hotel was nice, rooms were clean and comfortable and the pool was great. It’s located next to two major highways, which is convenient for getting around town, but there is a lot of highway noise by the pool area. The hotel is undergoing renovations, so it should be really nice once that is complete. The staff, however, is what made the hotel and experience so great. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. A special shout out to Monica and Chasity, they went above and beyond to make sure my stay went as flawlessly as possible. They repeatedly expressed their gratitude for me being a diamond member, and genuinely appreciated my patronage to the hotel. I will stay here again when I’m in town because of the staff.
MoreThe room was nice, but the refrigerator, coffee maker, and telephone didn’t work. There weren’t enough amenities: soap, shampoo, etc. The ice machine was broken, and we had to get small ice bags from the front desk to chill refreshments in the garbage can. Plus construction noise began next door every morning at 8 am. We should not have experienced all these inconveniences for the price we paid to stay at the Austin Southpark Hotel.
