Reviews
tripadvisorWe booked a room online. When we got to the hotel to check in, we were told they have been sold out for more than 72 hours and they could not honor our reservation. We had to drive two hours home at 1:00 am after our event. The front desk clerk was very apologetic and nice but it was very disappointing and inconvenient.
MoreAll of the photos listed are very old. This hotel has clearly been sold and is in terrible condition. Stay there this weekend for a soccer tournament stains everywhere on the carpet. Terrible smells lots of mold. Do not stay here.
MoreThe hotel staff was very friendly, polite, and helpful. Their service was excellent, and they always made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Overall, we had a pleasant experience because of the courteous and professional staff. Highly recommended!
MoreAt surface level, this looks like a decent hotel for the rate, but it is not. We stayed 2 nights while in town for a softball tournament at Berliner, 6/12 and 6/13. Good proximity to the field but…Multiple members of our team needed to change rooms for reasons including the room not being fully cleaned, musty/mildew smell, and shower not draining. In addition, the refrigerator in our room didn’t work, but since we had already had to change rooms once after checking-in, I didn’t request a second room change. I reported it to the front desk, and they apologized for not having Maintenance on site, and said they would be in the next day to change out the refrigerator, but that never happened. The hotel was generally in extremely poor shape - old, run down, dirty, damaged, stinky, and unkempt. The week of our arrival, we learned the hotel had come under new ownership, including a name change to Columbus Hilliard Hotel. Despite the uncertainty that came with the change, we gave it a try, but quickly wished we hadn’t. The only reason to give one star to this hotel is the kind and helpful ladies working the front desk the evening of 6/12. They were working hard and sorry for the inconvenience of having to change rooms immediately after check-in and for the broken refrigerator.
MoreI've stayed at some cheap motels and hotels in my days and this has got to be one of the worst places I've seen. First off, the hotel is dated and disgusting with stains everywhere. I tried calling the hotel to confirm my reservation 2 days before check in and their phone line basically did not exist, with a please check the number and dial again error. I just tried calling again now and their phones are still down, nearly a week after my original attempt to call. Not only is their main phone down, but the phone in our room was also down, requiring us to have to go down to the front desk for any request. There is routinely no one at the front desk. The tub did not drain all 3 nights we were there, even though I brought it to the front desk's attention and they confirmed with me it would get addressed each time. Both my and my roommate's key cards also stopped working every day we were there, requiring us to go to the front desk and wait in line just to get to our rooms; this is not something one looks forward to after working 14 hour days. Housekeeping also entered our rooms daily and all they did was take our hand and face towels without replacing them. They did not make the bed, did not replace toiletries, did not even refill toilet paper, just took our hand and face towels. They also cancelled my friend's reservation without telling him; lucky him, as he got to avoid this place!
