tripadvisorI love walking around and through Inwood Hill Park. It has some of the most amazing views of the Hudson River and some of the most beautiful pathways to walk through some of the oldest wooded areas in the City. I had read that it still has some virgin forest left in the woods.Don’t miss walking through some of the trails to the top of the hill with the views of the Hudson River and walk to the area where the Indian caves are located for excellent picture taking. The park is spectacular during the Spring when all the trees are in bloom. Some of the best views in the City!
MoreInwood Hill Park is the 3rd largest park in NYC, after Central Park and Riverside Park. It's on the northern tip of Manhattan, north of Washington Heights. For seekers and the intrepid, there are caves in Inwood Park that had been occupied by Hessian soldiers-of-fortune during the Revolutionary War.
MoreInwood park in NYC is awesome, the river and walk way are really nice, it has always been really clean there. We walk the dog here and feed the ducks. Children play soccer in the park it is really relaxing. A must see in NYC
MoreThis place is full of things to do for everyone. There are areas to enjoy a walk around the park and also places for children in the jungle gym. There are also a place to play baseball and soccer games. There is also several places where there is a great view of the Hudson River and Henry Hudson Bridge. I would also suggest that you bring some bottled water because it can be hot there and it is always convenient just to have it on hand. There are nice cafes and restaurants around the area including a very good Thai place. Parking is a premium and difficult to find. I would suggest to go there early to find a nice parking spot.
MoreWe walked up to Inwood yesterday to see if we could see eagles. Winter is a great time to spot bald eagles. In the winter, they fly further south to New York City in search of food. We contacted an Urban Park Ranger through the website, and we were able to find two very good viewing sights. No luck at the first, but a very good view of an eagle at the second. What a thrill!
