tripadvisorWe had three separate rooms and they all smelled really bad!!!! One female staff member at the front desk took 45 minutes to check in our friend …this staff member was clearly medicated (or just high!). If they would overhaul these tired old rooms , this hotel could be nice.
MoreWe are Choice Members and stay at Comfort Inns when we travel. This Comfort Inn was a disappointment except for the breakfast. The breakfast had many hot selections as well as the normal fruit, cereal, waffle, etc. The dining room was very clean. However, the rest of the hotel was old and very much in need for refurbishing with paint, carpet, and doors. The bed was comfortable, but old. The entrance is not inviting. It looks like a Motel 6 with some kind of lights in the planters instead of plants. They charged $10.00 for parking which was ridiculous. There was only 1 luggage carrier in the building. We waited a half an hour and were never able to obtain a cart. You better bring your own. They had been cleaning carpet that day. They offered us a room with wet carpet that smelled like wet dog. They said they only had one more room. Carpet was damp, but the smell was tolerable. They should have offered a discount for these rooms or taken them out of service. There were no fans to help the ventilation. I would not recommend this hotel except for breakfast.
MoreWe were very pleased with this hotel. Lots of free parking. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Large room with choice of seating options. A large, bright breakfast room with good selection. Cheerful staff. Very quiet at night. Property is well-maintained. Not located in downtown Boulder, so maybe not ideal if you want to be in the heart of the action.
MoreWe have stayed twice, for 3 days each time. We choose it because our visits are on days of high demand and the Hiltons are absurdly expensive then. This location is much more moderate (not cheap) - the main sacrifice is a 10 minute drive north just past the edge of town, but still in the urban area. The facility is well kept, well-lighted parking all around the building with good access. Staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is erratic - the cheese omelets were fabulous one day and cold in the center two days later.
MoreOverall, a really nice place. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and our suite was spacious and clean. Parking was easy and free. The pool and hot tub were great, although the towels were comically small; we all know hotel towels are always small, but these were record-breakingly tiny and it took about 4 of them to get a medium sized adult dry. Worth it for that lovely outdoor hot tub session, though.Breakfast was OK, but it's always a disappointment not to see bacon.
