Came into town for a Father/Son NBA game between the Heat and Timberwolves. First the good: if you're in town to attend an event at the Kaseya Center, there is no more convenient place to stay than the CitizenM Miami Worldcenter. Second, it's a very chic hotel, brightly lit, with vibrant colors, and close to a lot of things to do. We drove down from St Augustine and never used our vehicle until we drove home two days later. The not great, but not enough to reduce my 5-star rating: When we arrived, there was no obvious place to pull up. There was a valet service nearby, which I took to be for checking in, but it wasn't. The valet there directed me to park at the garage nearby. I did this and it was only by blind luck that I ran into an employee of whatever nightclub is adjacent to the garage that I found out if you park lower than level 5, you will be towed, because it's valet only. I went back up and moved my vehicle. Had I been towed simply because I had no idea where to go, this review would be a lot lower. An arriving guest shouldn't have to hunt for where to go. Forgive me if I missed any signs, but when you are in downtown Miami traffic at night, things need to be obvious to be seen.Second, when we walked in, there was no front desk at which to check in. Everything is done via iPad, which for a 57-year old who had a few concussions during military service in the middle east was not an easy task. There were employees there to help, but if you're going to pay them to be there, why not just pay them to check you in like everywhere else? Third, we opted to pay $25+ for breakfast for each of us. The first morning, they ran out of eggs. I could deal with running out of bananas or something, but this is breakfast. How do you not cook enough eggs? A crowd formed as we all waited and after 18 minutes of standing around, I gave up and went and sat with my son. $50+ for two of us to have an incomplete breakfast was not cool. To be fair, the following morning, they did not have the crowd nor logistical challenges and the breakfast was great.Third, we stayed in room 830 from Oct 9-11, 2026 and it was reminiscent of a room in Manhattan, which is to say that it was TINY. It had an amazing view of the arena and the harbor beyond, so I'm not complaining. My 12 year old and I were bumping into each other repeatedly, so just be ready to select a bigger room if you elect to stay here and aren't traveling solo. Having said that, the room is well lit, very modern and in all ways perfect other than being the size of my closet at home.Overall, as a Lifetime Platinum member of Marriott Bonvoy and a 30-year military veteran who's slept in worse places, I still give this 5 stars. A front desk/concierge would have given the place more of a human touch with hopefully more of an emphasis on service and less of one based on detached automation.

My wife & I booked this hotel mainly because of the rooftop pool. We’ve never enjoyed a rooftop pool & thanks to their falsely advertised pool hours we still have not. Website said pool was open til midnight every night but was closed when we went around 8:00 PM. I told management about our frustration about spending over $400 for our room mainly because of the rooftop pool & they refused to make things right for us. Then the AC in our room didn’t work. So an overall horrible hotel stay for a lot of money! I advise staying anywhere else but here! Lots of other hotels/motels around!

citizenM is an excellent choice if you are seeking accommodations near Miami's Bayfront area or the Port of Miami. The rooms are perfect for a pre or post cruise stay. The rooms are minimalist but clean and comfortable with lots of amenities. Staff are helpful and the surrounding neighborhood is vibrant.

Nice hotel for the price, very clean. Only thing was missing in the room were the glasses or papercups and the hallway was long and dark like in a scary movie
