My family and I had a great experience at Waco Surf! Never a long wait for the slides, and the lazy river was super relaxing. The kids slide area was perfect for our littles! I would 10/10 recommend this park!

We had a blast with our kids, overall great family weekend trip! We loved staying in the cabin and seeing the lemurs on the island. We took surf lessons 2 days, and the kids are hooked! The instructors made sure you got plenty of tries at the waves and gave great tips. The hot tub was perfect to warm up in after our lessons. We will definitely be back!

My granddaughter, 30, and I, barely clinging to 79, went on a weekday right after the 4th. It wasn't crowded and we found parking in the VIP lot close to the entrance. We paid $40 each for access to the Lazy River and the slides, which are in a large swimming pool. For an extra 10 bucks we could have purchased access to the beach/surf area. Actual surfing costs more, way more. Anyway, my review is for the river side only. The lazy river was nice. We just took the two tubes but there are trampoline type tubes to haul your stuff, and a long float like thing to stretch out on. It takes about 30-40 minutes to complete the circuit. I'd recommend going when the shadows are long if it's a high UV day or wear a rash guard for sun protection. I wasn't up to the slides; the climb up was more daunting than the slide down. My granddaughter tried it but once was enough. I did see a tiny girl, maybe 6ish?, go down the huge slide. Here's where I think they miss the boat: No changing rooms. You can change in public restrooms. No lockers, just leave your bags, there are people watching. No showersNo towel rentalVery limited food and beverage options on the day we were thereI debated between a 2 and 3 star rating. I went with 3 because I did see groups of people having a good time (beer may have been involved).

We woke up early to go so we could get a good spot to eat and enjoy the slides and eating. We were told when we got there at 11:30 that the lazy river was not going to be open for another hour. I do appreciate them making sure the filtration is good for us all but to charge so much money and for extra float for cooler and never get to go on it because they never re-opened. You do sign a waiver no refunds but when that is like a trip for you and you look forward to going on the longest lazy river there and you get nothing back and the only thing to do for us was to be in a crowded pool because the lazy river never re-open was not that enjoyable. This was not because of rain this was due to their filtration. I just wished we could at least get a rain check because this was the first time for my daughter's friend to go and he was so excited. It was a letdown to say the least.
