The lobby pulls you in—it’s charming and makes you think you’ve found a great spot. Unfortunately, that’s where the illusion ends.I booked a king room and was given a bed that is clearly not a king (see photo). It’s significantly smaller—closer to a full or, at best, a queen. When I brought this to the front desk, I was met with complete indifference. I was told to look at the website photos, and that was essentially the end of the conversation. No attempt to fix it, no concern, nothing. The room itself is extremely underwhelming for the price—dated, bare, and poorly maintained. The vanity looked like it was coming off the wall, and the overall condition felt neglected. For what they are charging, this feels misleading at best. Between the inaccurate room description and the lack of customer service, this was a frustrating experience. There are far better (and more honest) options in Boulder. I would absolutely not stay here again.

We stayed at Boulder Broker Inn for 2 nights over Labor Day weekend for the Georgia Tech - CU game ( Go Jackets!!). We picked it for the price and the proximity to campus. It was about a 25 minute walk to Folsom Field. Our booking was through Expedia and was non- refundable. The lobby is attractive and inviting with a small coffee bar near the check-in desk. We only saw the doors to the big room and pool area open once. No one mentioned anything about that area so, based on other reviews, I assume it’s still closed Now the room…. Fourth floor facing the parking lot. On the plus side, heavy blackout curtains made the room super dark at night. The water pressure in the shower was great. The beds and pillows were comfortable. On the negative side, which is extensive …. Exposed electrical outlets (no cover plate). Maybe one accessible outlets for charging devices. (Found one to plug into behind the bedside table into an expose outlet.) Dim lighting with old lamps. Literally threadbare carpet with subfloor showing through. Caulking issues in the bathroom, which had definitely seen better days. The towel bar fell off the wall the first time I pulled a towel off!! The only toiletries offered was one small tube of conditioner. The wall-mounted hair dryer worked briefly before shutting off. Moved it to the other outlet and managed to get the High setting to work sometimes. One major oversight, dare I say illegal, was the lack of any emergency evacuation procedures. Most hotels post these on the back of the door. Boulder Broker had absolutely nothing posted about emergencies anywhere. There was also no information about checkout times, WiFi, or nearby places of interest, restaurants, etc.Overall, this is a rundown hotel with a lot of potential due to its proximity to CU. If you’re only staying a couple of nights, it’s passable - barely. Guess there’s a reason it was “only” $150 per night when other Boulder hotels run $300-$400 per night. Definitely don’t book here if you’re looking for a 3,4,or 5 star stay. Otherwise, roll the dice and give a try.

We picked this hotel as it is really close to the University. The pictures show this lovely hotel with a bar and game room, well the bar and game room were not opened as they are under renovation! Would we have stayed there if we knew this? no!the hotel itself could be really nice but the rooms are outdated, the lobby smells of pot, it just felt dirty. The only thing good about this hotel the beds were pretty comfortable, and the shower was good, other than that not sure if we would stay there again!

The hotel is nice enough but I only gave it 4 star because during our stay pretty much all the amenities were closed, pool area, bar, restaurant and spa, but had it all been open I probably would have to go with at least 4.5. There was a nice coffee and light meal cafe open and a beauty salon open that looks nice. The hotel lobby is nicely decorated. The rooms are good. The employees are friendly. A few stores just in front and a one minute walk, the Dark Horse restaurant was a good experience. It is all supposed to be open in a couple of months.

I was after a well priced room in south Boulder to visit my college student. This was perfect AND had loads of character. A big gathering space with bar and happy hour snacks had pingpong, foozball and a separate area to watch the game on TV - all very welcoming. My college kid and friends came to join and had a great time. The outdoor pool and deck were perfect for morning yoga. (not open until 8 though). No breakfast options besides coffee are the only ding. Old-world vibe and terrific staff (Manager Richie, Jacob at the desk; Stevie in the restaurant especially).
