tripadvisorGetting in and parking went smoothly and quickly. Parking was included. You park in the grass and getting to the venue from there is a decent walk. VIP parking was offered and apparently much closer. We arrived an hour before the opening act. The venue is outdoors. The 300s sections are bleachers with no backrests. Everyone stood up the entire show so, as a short person sitting in the middle, I couldn’t see much. The people sitting near me were standing uncomfortably close too. The seats up front were actual theater chairs. I could barely read the ads on the screens before the show and couldn’t scan the QR codes either. Sound was great. Clear bags only. No outside food or drinks allowed. Concessions are outrageously priced. Lots of merch stands. Never saw a bathroom. All trash cans were overflowing. No one directed traffic as you left the grounds, but they recently added a lane to and from the venue and they blocked it up with cones so people could commandeer 2 lanes to get in / out, which helps tremendously. We got back on the interstate in 20 minutes after we started to leave.
MoreWent to Amphitheater for the first time tonight to see James Taylor. Would caution future concertgoers to arrive at venue at least 1-1/2 to 2 hours before show or you will be in traffic backed up for miles trying to get in. Only two lanes to enter. Parking was a hike. Literally. Was surprised they had no vehicles to transport attendees from parking to amphitheater. I would have gladly paid. The concert was at night and it was difficult to see where to step at times. Once inside we were sorry most seats did not have backs which at 65yo I needed. The venue is beautiful and the sound was great.
MoreJust wanted to say how much I enjoyed my two visits to see Lana Del Rey at the Firstbank Amphitheater this month - the icing on top of the cake, undoubtedly, how supremely well run and smooth the entry procedure was, thanks to the amazing Tammy. Other venues, please attend a show here and see how a professional runs the operation! 10+ out of 10
MoreStaff were friendly and efficient. However, this is a miserable venue for concerts during the heat of summer. The only air / misters were above the seating near the concessions. There is no air movement (either natural or manmade) in the actual seating area. If you must go during a hot summer night, I highly recommend a personal fan.
MoreI saw Kenny Loggins tonight and want to recommend FirstBank Amphitheater as the best place in Nashville area. to see a concert outside of The Ryman. The place is really cool although may not be on a hot summer night. It is built in an old limestone quarry and this gives acoustics one doesnt ordinarily get outdoors. It was just a great atmosphere.Everything is so clean and new, even the restrooms, which rival Bucees. The best thing was despite there being only one way out, there were three lanes divided by cones and security at every fork in the road directing traffic. I wish the Wilson County Fair was that easy. Food choices are a little limited, pizza or barbeque, but there are plenty of watering holes. The pizza was excellent though.
