Owner will shut down any person who doesn't agree with her on whats funny and not funny. Everything is way over priced and not worth going to when comedians have to follow a certain guideline.

When I was in Boston ,I stopped in to catch some comedy ...And let me tell you the place had a bad atmosphere ,The night after I was here the owner got angry at the comedians and stopped the show ,Offered the 4 paying customers refunds ,What club does this?I left because of the unfunny comedians and the owners bad attitude. When going to comedy shows I don't want some sexist club owner pushing their own agenda on paying customers ,I want comedy .

I have been to ComedySportz in several different cities and was not disappointed by Boston's CSz team! ComedySportz is like Whose Line is it Anyway but more energetic and family friendly. The performers at the show I went to were all hilarious and awesome - including the referee and booth people. The venue is small and our Lyft driver definitely drove right past it. They serve candy and waterbottles as concessions (no alcohol though, which is a bummer since I'm used to boozing up at my home CSz theater haha), and if you are looking for dinner before the show, there is an Italian sub shop a few blocks up the street. The tiny, hole-in-the-wall venues are pretty typical of most ComedySportz shows I've been too, but don't judge a show by its venue because the best shows are usually in the tiniest, kinda crappiest looking theatres! Well worth it. For now, they only do shows on Fridays though!

If you've ever laughed at Whose Line is it Anyway, you'll enjoy ComedySportz. The show is a bit over 90 minutes, with a short intermission - in that time, the two teams played 9 games.ComedySportz is improvisational comedy, with two teams competing - it's not about sports (unless the audience suggestion drives one of the games in that direction). Every game begins with an audience suggestion; the players use that to create funny scenes. Most games have a gimmick (one game the night we attended was called Parallel Universes - three scenes suggested by the audience; at random times, the referee blew a whistle and the players shifted to another scene, with different characters, but beginning in the same physical position as they were in when the whistle blew). The show is family-friendly (the merest hint of lewdness drew a Brown Bag Foul). The theatre is small, so it's a close-up experience, and different every time.

Despite the audience being super small, the actors did an amazing job anyway and the show was super funny for everyone to enjoy.
