As a solo traveler the size of the room grate. The room and hotel was very clean. The room I was in was quite. Everything from the lights, TV and even the window curtains was controlled by a Ipad. The was very friendly and helpful from the front desk to the restaurant. The atmosphere was very nice late back. The hotel was very close to the subway with made it easy to get around. The price for the room was very good. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Although the hotel was very clean and the staff courteous, we found the room to be extremely small for two people. There was no space to walk around the bed, and only one side had outlets available. For someone who uses a CPAP and their partner who needs to use the restroom frequently, this hotel did not meet our needs. We actually only stayed one night of our reservation, and had to forfeit our remaining three days stay.

Modern, cool vibe hotel in the NoMa neighborhood of Washington, D.C. about a 20-minute walk from Union Station. (If you can manage, it is a nice, easy walk to the hotel). The hotel is in a great area. A diverse mix of restaurants are nearby. A CVS store is also close. Guests sign in via kiosks located near the hotel entrance but staff members are there to help if needed. The breakfast was great. I was full and content. The breakfast staff were welcoming and helpful. Guests use an iPad to use the TV and regulate the temperature in the room. It is straightforward but for those who don’t use smart devices, they may have difficulty. My room - a single room - was very small, but I found it sufficient for one person. However, I could see others arguing differently. In sum, I enjoyed my stay. It was in a section of the capital that I had never stayed in before. I would definitely stay there again.

The CitizenM NoMa is an outstanding value for travelers seeking a no-frills, efficient home base. As other reviews noted, the staff here is really helpful. While the rooms are small, similar to a cruise ship cabin, they are clean, quiet, and comfortable. (Though only for single occupancy or couples due to the compact, built-in daybeds.) The location is excellent, situated right by the NoMa metro with easy access to Union Station and downtown, and the internet is fast at 50mbps. Be aware though that the gym has very limited equipment, and I would recommend eating in a different neighborhood, particularly at night. There aren't many dinner options nearby and the on-site dining is expensive and not very good.

I stayed at citizenM Washington DC NoMa for my birthday weekend, and unfortunately it turned into one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve had.The biggest issue was the air conditioning. On the first night, the room became so uncomfortable that I had to move rooms around 2:00 AM. After being assured the issue was resolved, I continued to experience HVAC problems during the remainder of my stay. On my birthday, I woke up sweating because the room once again was not maintaining a comfortable temperature.Having your sleep interrupted multiple nights while traveling is frustrating enough, but it was especially disappointing during a birthday trip that was supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel later acknowledged that the HVAC issues and room move negatively impacted my stay. While I appreciate the staff’s professionalism throughout the process, I was told a 25% adjustment would be provided and found that the credit applied did not appear to reflect the full amount that was communicated. At the end of the day, the issue isn’t just about compensation. A hotel’s most basic responsibility is providing a comfortable room where guests can sleep, and unfortunately that did not happen during my stay. Between multiple nights of HVAC problems, a room change at 2:00 AM, disrupted sleep during my birthday weekend, and an unsatisfactory resolution, I would not choose to stay here again.
