Pretty meh hotel experience. The lobby and restaurant have nice decor but none of that translates to the rooms. Garishly bright and neutral temperature lights are rough. Tiny corridor of a bathroom.Weird requirement of needing to leave a key card in a slot to turn on the lights and air conditioning. I'm all for saving power and I know this is common in other countries, but when it's 85 degrees out and I'm leaving my dogs in the room, this is notably different from any other hotel at this price point in this country. Room remained pretty hot for my entire stay.Parking is $50/night with no in-and-out access.

My stay at Hotel Nell was excellent. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating, and my room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and very affordable. Great proximity to Union Market and to the DC Metro. Had a very good dinner at the hotel's Treehouse Rooftop restaurant. Highly recommended.

Beautiful boutique hotel with a chic atmosphere, delicious food. Everyone was very friendly, and the manager was wonderful, she recommended Union Market for watching the World Cup, it was a rooftop with the huge screen and it was amazing! Only 5 min from the hotel, The room was a little small but very clean and comfortable. We loved our stay and will definitely come back, hopefully booking a bigger room next time.

Happy to have found this great hotel after a horrible experience at the Hampton Inn NoMa Union Station. I had a rough trip and was exhausted when I checked in late evening. Diego, the front desk agent provided me with great service, a smile and a quick ear, exactly what I needed. The hotel is clean, great setup and comfortable. It has a lot of character and everything you’d need. I’d stay here again without a doubt, hugely bc of the service I received from Diego.
