12:31 AM Sun Aug 21I was looking forward to exploring the unique fashions of this shop. Unfortunately my experience was considerably less than pleasant. I am a size 14. From the minute I walked into the shop and the owner and artist Yvonne greeted me her next words left me cold. She explained that she didn't have many items for big women. That the hangers that were a lighter color were the larger sizes. That she understood that larger women wanted to be discrete. I started to look at the palazzo pants. Yvonne again reiterated that they are smaller sizes even though the one was looking at was marked XL. She said it would not fit me. She even went so far as to wrap it around my mid section only to notice that it would probably fit me and then went on to say that it would not fit my rear.I tried on three items one of them being the palazzo pants. Another was a reversible dress and the third piece a shapeless short sleeve jacket the Yvonne thrust upon me. The dress was adorable. It fit well and looked good on me. The palazzo pants fit as well. The length was perfect. When I exited the dressing room Yvonne asked me if anything fit me. I told her everything fit. To my amazement she then commented even the palazzo pants? I must not have been very good in my assessment.All told, the owner Yvonne commented a minimum of 5 times about my size expressing doubt that anything in her store would fit me. I left without making a purchase. Why would I want to support and patronize a shop and its owner when said owner, Yvonne, has so little consideration for her customer?
