The Hanover and King William Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center that sells new and gently used furniture, home goods, building materials, and appliances at a fraction of retail prices. More than just a store, the ReStore provides a sustainable funding source for Habitat. Every purchase and donation helps local families build, rehabilitate, and repair safe, affordable homes. Since 1999, our recycling program has also generated income by salvaging metals from donated items. Our inventory comes entirely from generous donations from individuals, businesses, and community partners—ranging from household items to overstock and scratch-and-dent goods. Unsold items are discounted through a color-coded system, and those that can’t be sold are recycled to ensure nothing goes to waste. We price items based on age, condition, size, and demand, typically at least 40% below retail value. Through shopping, donating, and recycling, our community helps build homes, communities, and hope.
