We were able to see this from behind from our VRBO in Hoboken. It's a nice walk through the train station then along the river front. The statue is massive and lovely although I think the sections should've been filled in. From far away it looks great but close up it looks like a very large puzzle. The surrounding park is very nice- there's great chairs to relax and enjoy the view

Eye-catching sculpture on the waterfront between Hoboken and Jersey City along the Hudson River Walkway. Created by Barcelona artist Jaume Plensa and unveiled in 2021. The sculpture is meant to remind us that water is the great public space that unites and embraces communities as well as people around the world. According to the artist, the message of the sculpture is to keep silent...to listen to the profound noise of the water talking to us.
