I booked this tour because of the great reviews, but our experience was actually very disappointing. I can't believe we had the same tour guide mentioned in so many of the previous great reviews. We could not understand fully half of what Al, the guide, said on our tour. It is clear that he is knowledgeable and has some fun stories, but something was definitely off on the day we toured. Now, we're all southerners, so it wasn't an accent issue. I really just can't in good conscience recommend this tour.

We were excited to have a guided tour around this beautiful and historic city; however, it was very difficult to follow our guide's narrative, he spoke too fast, not loud enough and kept going off on difficult to follow tangents of thought. We tried our best to follow his thoughts and stay close enough to hear him. The walk itself started late and veered from the route advertised so we felt we missed significant historic points in the city. Several tour members left the group ten minutes in because of the problems with the guide's story telling. Our guide was colorful and surely knew his history (the parts we could keep up with), but the experience overall was disappointing.

Our tour guide had a personal history in Charleston and offered so many details rich in history and culture. Learned a lot about the architecture and the people of this charming city He answered all our questions and kept the tour at a comfortable pace. Was easy to deal with and friendly when we called at the last minute for availability. First rate!

We enjoyed our walking tour of Charleston. Our guide Bruce was very informative and personable. Because he grew up in Charleston he knows the city well and we got to see some interesting places and gardens that we would not have seen on our own. Thank you!

Our tour guide, Bruce, was incredible. Personable, knowledgeable, and brought us altogether during the tour. Bruce paced the tour well; gave us time for pictures; and was flexible based on our interests. Additionally, he knows just about everyone in town. At every stop, we would bump into someone who knew him. Great tour guide. Great tour. Well worth your time and money.
