tripadvisorI went to the Asian Mall in Eden Prairie on 11/12/2025, where an employee attempted to jump in front of me in the line as if I was not standing there. However, the cashier was already in the process of ringing up my items so I stepped back in front of her and paid for my groceries. As the cashier then pushed my items down to the bagging section, I walked down to bag my food. Then the same employee who attempted to jump in front of me, reached across me while I was bagging my food and grabbed a bag before she even finished paying for her item. I told her that it was rude to reach in front of me like that. She never apologized. There were two other ladies, one other who seemed to be an employee who were standing back waiting for her. No one addressed her or held her accountable for how she treated me. Instead they just stood and looked. At first, I thought maybe it was a language barrier or a cultural misunderstanding. Then I began to think Was this act a form of racism? as I am black. But at the end of the day it boiled down to the employee being entitled and disrespectful. I have shopped here many times over the year and a half that I have lived in Eden Prairie, and now my husband and myself do not want to go back.
MoreWe were very impressed with the wide variety of authentic asian goods. Eating at the different types of restaurants was really cool and the grocery selection was full of anything you can think of
MoreGreat place for chinese groceries, eats, and knick knacks! Prices in the grocery store was decent! Prices for trinkets, not so much, since much of it was knock-offs. Many of the restaurants had me drooling! Will definitely return!
MoreThis place feels like a small Chinatown, especially their grocery store! It is filled with unique food choice, and you can buy things such as Green Tea matcha ice cream or decent Oolong tea loose leaf. Lots of cute things, souvenirs and absolutely tasty food. Pho there is GREAT!
MoreThis mall opened a few months ago with several restaurants, a few service businesses and a large grocery store on the first floor. Hour of the restaurants and services may vary from the mall hours. There is an elevator to the second floor. The grocery has many unusual foods difficult to find anywhere else in the Twin Cities. These include a huge frozen food section and produce like sugarcane and the stinky fruit durian. There are several murals and other interesting art. I couldn't see any bicycle parking, so I parked my bike to a stop sign. There is a bike trail along Technology Drive, but it can be challenging to get across the street through sometimes heavy traffic. One restaurant offers shaved ice, another provides unusual flavors of hot dogs. I sopped at the restaurant at the top of the stairs. I ordered a dish with rice, vegetables, tofu and a fried egg on top. It came with kimchi, fried potatoes and carrots, and a sweet sour sauce. It was a very good combination. The sauce added some a little heat and some sweetness to the dish.
