tripadvisor1 star. Beware the Mobile Check-In trap.My flight was canceled on Monday. I called the Marriott Ambassador line that same day and asked for one simple thing: move my check-in from Monday to Tuesday and keep my Friday check-out. The cancellation window on my reservation ran until 12:00 AM on July 27, and I called before that deadline.I was told the change was impossible because I had used Mobile Check-In, a published Marriott benefit, which the property had already processed into their system. In their view I was an active occupied stay for a room I was never physically in, so no exception could be made. What happened instead is hard to explain. Rather than moving my arrival, they moved my departure. Check-out went from Friday to Tuesday while the Monday check-in stayed put. A four-night stay was reduced to the single night I could not possibly have used, and that is the night I was charged for.I have made this exact change at other properties without issue. The rules here were not applied. A technicality was. If you are using Mobile Check-In at this hotel, understand that it may cost you the ability to modify your reservation at all, even inside the stated cancellation window.
MoreIf you’re familiar with Dayton, you know that the city has slowly restored downtown. The AC is in a great location that is walkable and next to the Dayton Dragons ballpark. You can see the ballpark from the rooftop bar & restaurant. We also saw Fourth of July fireworks from here and from a corner window of our room. The views make this hotel standout. Rooms are clean and modern. Big, white showers and white tiles. The bathroom was astonishingly clean, huge plus. Coffee makers and fridge, but no microwaves.
MoreWe found this beautiful modern hotel during our last minute decision to leave early for Indianapolis 500. We had never heard of this hotel but it looked perfect and was available. Upon arriving very late we were treated like royalty and our every need was attended to. Lots of activity at this hotel. So excited but worried that it wasn’t as expected. The lobby was so nice and everyone was attentive all restaurants were available if we needed anything to eat and Starbucks coffee was available free at the check in desk. Just what we needed after a long drive from Virginia. Upon open the door to our room, we were amazed! So modern and clean and beautiful. It was perfect so we checked out the bathroom and just lovely and they give u free water in your room. A larger version of water would be at cost. We were very tired and the bed and pillows were a dream. That being said they were having an event at the hotel and so there were some noise that last for a couple hours never the less we still enjoyed ourselves and watched some tv. The next thing we knew it was morning and upon open our curtains we had a lovely view of the garden area. We had to be on our way so did not have time for breakfast but we lived our stay at this hotel. Highly recommend and if ever in the area we would definitely stay again. Also it was extremely reasonably priced.
MoreThe hotel is located in downtown Dayton next to the Dayair baseball field. It is conveniently placed. Because of the hotel's location you can not expect a quiet experience. Street noise will be heard. This is not a terrible thing, just part of the experience. The rooms are comfortable and well laid out. The parking is across the street in a parking garage. There is also valet parking available
MoreThere is a night club across the street the plays very loud music outside until very late. I was there on a Sunday night and the music did not stop until midnight. If you want a good nights sleep I suggest you stay somewhere else.
