tripadvisorI have not been here for over a couple months, as of now, but I have been coming here multiple times a year since around 2019 or so after the renovations and modifications. I personally like this place a lot better now than I did when it was more of a typical shopping mall, although I still think it could use a few more stores. I think that the food court on the bottom floor is the main draw, and I like it a lot. The food court has vendors serving up Indian, Chinese, Mexican, French, and classic American food and more. There is even a dessert shop and an ice cream parlor! I have been to each little vendor at least one time and I have seen a few come and go over the years. I personally like all of the eateries!
MoreThis mall was a pleasure to experience as a space arrangement. Nice and modern. As a shopping center it appears perhaps average, but it is a good place to visit. It apparently has a very long tradition. It was originally created in 1951 as Parkington Shopping Center and was the nation's first shopping center built around a multi-story parking garage. Even if not a shopper just walk through.
MoreThis mall feels hidden and I thought it could use a few extra stores. Parking was very cheap and I was surprised. I stopped to buy plants
MoreThe mall is very attractive visually, good use of space, lots of places to seat and relax and Regal movie theater is attached and has great recliner seating. The mall does not have a lot to do other than movies however. Design is very clean and modern, nice places to eat, including vegetarian options, but not enough popular stores.I could see people coming on a rainy day especially with kids to hang out in the space.
MoreI have always passed this mall but never had time to stop in, so this past Saturday my daughter and I made our first visit. I should have realized that my visit was in trouble when the parking was $1 for the first 3 hours. That is extremely inexpensive for Northern Virginia. We left within an hour. The mall was newly renovated and looked really nice, however it was not your average mall. The only anchor store was Macy's and all other stores were newer boutique stores that you may run across online. The food court did not have your usual food court stores, instead it was very high end and ritzy. There were restaurants and fast-food on other floors. Chick fil a had a very small boutique type restaurant on the 1st or 2nd floor, it was very cute. The mall had an indoor/outdoor layout that was a little disturbing, because this is northern Virginia and the weather can get pretty cold, so I would only be able to shop there when the sun is shinning and no rain. They really need to get some more stores because 25% or more of the mall was empty. The best section of the mall was Instagram Alley. My daughter enjoyed taking pictures with the various back drops. Also, if you have little ones, there was a really nice outside space that they would really enjoy.
