Do NOT stay here. Keep driving! I had a room for August 5th. I checked in, got dinner and got ready for a concert. I attended and returned after 11 pm to get ready for bed. I found a baby roach on my bed. I then found multiple roaches in my food in the room and another on the bed, various sizes/ages- aka infestation. Front desk offered another room but I realized it was one floor up. I went back up to collect my things and video the bugs. I checked out and drove home in pouring rain and fog with a migraine to avoid sleeping with roaches. I sent my videos to customer service and requested a refund. I was refused a refund and offered a $35 gift card. I turned that down and my case was closed.What needs to happen is the hotel closed, a tent placed over it and a fumigation. People do not deserve to pay over $100 to sleep with German cockroaches or risk taking home an infestation. When the Best Western representatives placed a $35 value on this, they spoke volumes. They no longer believe in hospitality. Only your money matters to them. I will never step foot in another of their hotels. I tried to give them an opportunity to handle it the respectable way, with an apology, a refund and a promise to get exterminators in immediately.

First the good, the location is both good and bad. Near I-85, it is a quick jump onto the interstate, or down the local road to downtown Sptbg. But even though I had a room facing away from the highway, the highway traffic, especially quite a few emergency vehicles, was heard every day.The room was very clean, if not a bit dated. The bed was clean, and comfortable, along with pillows. I've been in hotels much higher end that didn't have rooms that clean. The breakfast was ok. Better than a grab and go breakfast the competitors may have. Decent enough. Staff was friendly and the public areas were clean and well organized. Overall I would definitely stay again, and is one of the better BW's I've stayed in in a while.Lastly, even though I did not wish to use the pool, while I walked past, it was empty, and dark green sludge at the bottom. I know it's not swimming weather, but the appearance was a bit shocking, like a bad hotel commercial. What's up with that?

Great rooms close to everything that is to do in Sparkle City. Breakfast was offered with the room. We will be back.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Everything was as we expected. The bed was firm and restful. Breakfast was very good, even for a vegitarian. The location was quiet and conducive to a restful night. We would return to the hotel the next time we need lodging in Spartanburg.

Great stay! The bed was very comfortable, pillows-great, towels-plentiful, and fluffy, shower-very nice shower head and plenty of hot water, HVAC worked great, and was very quiet, breakfast-VERY clean area, plenty of food and drink choices, staff-very friendly and helpful. Hallways were well lit, with no burned out bulbs, and clean. Overall, the property was well kept. Very impressive for the price.
