tripadvisorCrystal & Josh took good care of our family. All nine of us can’t fit in our ATV. We rented 2 and Crystal & Josh were our trail guides. What a great choice! They know all the trails and how to tailor the ride to make sure the group has fun. Very knowledgable about the trail system. You don’t waste time trying to figure out where you are and looking for trail markers! The weather was less than perfect(raining) but didn’t slow us down. Great photo op from Badger’s Overlook. They have all the gear you need. If you have a group, call ATV Excursions!
MoreA must do! This exceeded all expectations. My husband, myself, and our 20 year old son, who did all the driving. Larry was our guide (and owner) and the absolute most caring, friendly, down to earth good as they come. He took pics along the way for us and our group, made sure we were getting the best experience, and wanted to make sure we were having fun. There was another ATV in our tour, and Larry made sure we were both accommodated for. Fast and muddy for us, slower and clean for them. Worth every penny and this is an experience we'll be talking about for year to come!
MoreWe absolutely had a blast! The ride was beautiful and Larry (tour guide) was awesome! Definitely recommend any and everyone!
MoreThere are 4 different sets of trails in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas all with different colors depending on difficulty. You can rent an ATV on your own, or take a guided tour. We wanted to see the eclipse in a unique way so we decided on a tour. ATV Excursions of FairField Bay / Atv rentals and trail tours rocked it out of the park with this tour. Mike asked us about our experience and was going to give us wetbags for our electronics, but I showed him how our phones already had waterproof phone cases and we had brought our own wetbag for our stuff. He could see we were prepared for the worst so I think he knew we were ready to go hard and we told him not to hold back. He definitely did not! He put us in a Honda Pioneer 1000 and off we went. I took a gazillion videos (but some are too long to share here) because we went up scree slopes, across streams, down rock staircases, through mudpits, up rocky inclines with sheer drops to the creek next to us, all the way to the top of an overlook where we stopped and watched the eclipse with his family and friends that had come along with us. Then we came back down a different way, so we never saw the same thing twice. We went through town and stopped at Jack's convenience store to replenish drinks and use the restroom. We met Mike's dad and enjoyed chatting a few minutes before it was time to get going again. Then it was my turn to drive the ATV and off we went to another part of the trails, where he took us up to some cliffs overlooking Greers Ferry Lake where we had full view of Sugarloaf Mountain, which is in the middle of the lake. Mark had on pants with unzippable legs that convert into shorts so he got in the lake and cooled off. Then down we went on some more scree slopes and staircases. By the time we got back to home base we were exhausted but in a good way. I don't remember ever having such a good time or going so hard on trails, and frankly these ATVs are beasts that can take some pretty wicked abuse. The tour in one word? KILLER.
MoreFamily of 6, ages 12-50. We all had the best time ever. This tour was the highlight of our vacation. The guys were hesitant to have a “guided” tour but they got to drive fast and rugged and had a great time. The girls and younger ones felt thrilled and safe at the same time. We sped through major mud puddles and came out soaking wet. You can take it slow if you want. I recommend wearing clothes/shoes that you don’t mind getting really dirty and in our case muddy. You’ll want sunglasses/goggles for sure (we borrows what they had in the shop). A neck gator or bandana would be helpful to wear over your face to block out the dust. This was an expensive trip because we had to rent 2 ATVs but it was so worth it.
