One of the best choices you can make before buying a home is to get it inspected. If it's a new build it should be inspected from the ground up. You would expect that an older home would need inspected, but new build homes do as well, even in the city where there are city inspectors. You won't believe the things a home inspector will find that some will try and hide because it will be expensive to fix. Please get the home that you plan on purchasing for you and your family inspected, not only for it's integrity but for safety.
