With my students we go over the basics and focus on learning to play by ear as well as using chords/tabs to play the music you want. You also learn scales so you can get better at composing and improvising. I've been playing guitar for 13 years, both lead and rhythm. In the last 9 years I have been teaching on the side in between university and my day job. Now I'm online and ready to share my jamming skills. All lessons are online!
