A century ago, SoBro used to be called Black Bottom due to the dirty water and mud from flooding but is now a most vibrant section of Nashville. Stretching N/S from Broadway to Peabody Steets and E/W from the Cumberland River to the Gulch, SoBro is packed with restaurants, museums, bars, hotels and historic sites all easily walkable. There is also the Schermerhorn Symphony, the Music City Center and at 6th and Peabody, the fabulous Ole Smoky Distillery/Yee Haw Brewery complex.
