tripadvisorExcellent tour. Tim is very knowledgeable and friendly. We plan on coming back in the fall with the rest of the family and taking another tour with Tim.
MoreTim provided us with a wonderful private tour of Old Town Alexandria last week that included a tremendous amount of great information about the Revolutionary War. I am an American history buff and one of our friends is a student of American architecture and a tour guide himself in Chicago. We both were impressed with Tim’s knowledge and we learned many new fascinating things during our time with him. Tim makes the information fun, interesting and very accessible regardless of your current level of knowledge regarding this period of our history. He also customized his presentation to our specific interests and easily answered our many questions. Thank you Tim for a great afternoon!
MoreTim was a great guide. I asked him to emphasize the Revolutionary Period of Alexandria for our group. He tailored his walking tour exactly as I requested. I appreciated that when he did not have an answer to a question, seldom, he referred us to where we might find it. He was friendly, energetic, thoughtful and enjoyed his work. We all appreciated the notebook he carried illustrating maps and various pictures that highlighted points of interest. I would, without hesitation, recommend him to guide you through the history of Alexandria.
MoreThis was one of the BEST history tours I have taken. Thanks to Tim, our fantastic tour guide, we learned so much more than we were hoping for. Tim was able to answer many of our questions. He was knowledgeable, professional and focused on the things we were most interested in. (Yay Lafayette!) We will surely be back and hope to take another tour with him in the future,
MoreThis was our first trip to Alexandria, Virginia and we would definitely take this tour again. As a veteran and a local, Tim is very knowledgeable in early American history. Because Alexandria is steeped in history this is the perfect setting for Tim’s vast knowledge. It’s obvious he has done his research and told us many fascinating stories about George Washington and Jefferson, and their lives in Alexandria. I loved the history and my wife loved the charming vibe of the city. He took us by so many beautiful homes and buildings pointing out things we would have never seen if we took a self guided tour. He even recommended great restaurants for dinner. This tour is a must do.
