tripadvisorFirst of all, the pictures on Agoda show a nice hotel with great facilities and attractive decor. When I got there, the place looked nothing like the pictures. It was seedy, run-down, with ripped furniture like the chairs in the lobby. Secondly, their policy states that cash paying customers must pay a $100 deposit. I paid by credit card and the guy at the front desk would not honor my booking without the $100 deposit. I was not allowed to go to my room. I refused to pay this. I arrived late at the airport and took a cab to the hotel which cost me $25 dollars. I felt stranded there. Luckily, there was a nice couple who gave me the wifi code and was able to call an Uber and my Airbnb booking allowed me to come earlier. Terrible experience.
MoreAfter a long flight I was very impressed by the free shuttle. I had emailed the hotel asking hours earlier in the day and got a quick detailed reply. I called upon arrival and a friendly clerk answered on the second ring, and let me know there were 2 shuttles and to expect one in 10-15 minutes. In about 10 minutes one arrived vs talking to many who had booked expensive hotels that couldn’t get an answer or were giving up after a long wait. The room was basic, but very clean and looked recently painted. The bed was comfortable and I had a great sleep. It had everything you could need including a refrigerator, ironing board etc. the bathroom had dispensers with liquid shampoo, lotion etc as well as bar soap etc. Breakfast was minimal and consisted of a variety of fresh fruit, coffee and full size yogurts. Staff was all very friendly and efficient. Price was quite reasonable. I would definitely stay again!
MoreThis was the most terrible place that I have ever stayed and I lived in the sands of the Iraq, buried in my own grave for 9 months. I was shocked that this place is even open for business. My first indication that I should leave- the front desk lady was yelling and belittling the customer in front of me. He was asking about the voucher that United had given him for a travel interruption, trying to make sure he wasn’t getting charged, and she was literally yelling at this guy, asking him if he could read. Customer service skills need some work. So I check in and walk up the stained and musky stairs(this place smelled bad) to my room, noticing the smoke alarm beeps every 15-30 seconds. I open the door and step inside, the floor is wet, mind you it is 2am as my flight had also been delayed. And I can hear the smoke alarm beeping from inside the room. For a second I thought I would call the front desk and let them know, but after what I witnessed at check-in, I thought better and ignored the beeps. Why in the hell is the floor wet that late at night. Gross! Stains on the walls, stains on the surfaces of the tables and desk, lamp shades are falling of the lamps. Absolutely no indication that anyone working here has a sense of pride in their work. I will NEVER stay here again! I would not recommend this place to anyone.
MoreI called the operator to inform that there was no tv remote in my room (unfortunately the only way to use the TV was through a remote). The operator informed me that she would tell hotel maintenance the next day, (after I checked out). As a result, the one thing that could remedy the horrible appearance of the hotel and my room, the lack of a working elevator, and the loud noise from the hotel guests partying in the pool until 11pm -- even that didn't work
MoreTerrible front desk. Repeated calls only to be then told shuttle only pickup at concourse C. I was very clear I was at concourse E. Why don't they put that on website and my bookjng for.m. Terrible to wait so long and then acted like it was my mistake
