tripadvisorAmazing time was had by all. From the start to the end was fun and made you want more and more. It definitely takes a few hours to truly experience all of it.
MoreThis is probably my least favorite of the Meow Wolf locations I've been to so far: Santa Fe, Las Vegas, and Denver are all better in my opinion. BUT it is still great and super fun to visit. My friends who had never been really enjoyed it and everyone in our group said they would go back. We went first thing in the morning on a weekday and it wasn't busy at all thankfully.
MoreI'm afraid I was underwhelmed by this experience. Not really what I expected. I thought is was more of experiencing and interacting with art. This was rooms that looked like the 70s and just stuff everywhere with little rhyme or reason. Staff was enthusiastic and energetic, but for me, the whole experience was over-priced and lame. And if you want to go , buy your tickets when you get there-- on the night we went it was more than half the price we paid online.
MorePeople had described The Real Unreal as one of the smaller locations. I have been to Convergence station and Omega Mart and now The Real Unreal. I hope to hit them all before my season pass runs out. Convergence station is always listed as the largest location and I'm sure if you are counting square footage it is. Experience wise though Omega Mart feels bigger to me and The Real Unreal was the densest.I don't know how many times I walked through a room before I realized there was another half of the room just around this small bend. There is a maze area that is chock full of exhibits all following a theme. We spent about 8 hours here. We did leave for lunch and the Rain Forest cafe was a hit with the 9 year old.We also stayed at Great Wolf Lodge. We asked the 9 year old and The Real Unreal was the clear winner. And of course our whole trip was focused on visiting TRU.
MoreMeow Wolf's The Real Unreal is a totally unique and interesting experience. It's beautifully designed and full of colorful and humorous surprises. The artists and engineers that havecreated this place, a love letter to creativity and mystery. If you like art, go visit, if you like science-fiction, go, if you could use some (sober and wholesome) mind-bending, GO!I want to visit all of Meow Wolf's amazing experiences after visiting The Real Unreal.
