tripadvisorSounds is terrible. One of the worst sounding concerts I have been to. The speakers are theorist. The people running the found have no idea what they are doing. The Theater is beautiful. But they put in low end crap for an Audio system. This place should have had the best.
MoreCool venue for sure and not a bad seat in the house, but the sound quality is trash. We just saw Ty Meyers there and the sound quality was not good at all. The mix was terrible compared to shows we have seen at Midflorida. Sounded muddy and with a band like Ty Meyers that has multiple instruments (horns, sax, multiple guitars) everything just got compressed together. It was even hard to hear what Ty was saying to the crowd at times. We were in the 200 section.
MoreI went to The Sound in Clearwater for the first time last night to see Alison Krauss and Union Station, and I was so impressed with the venue! The location is fantastic, and I loved the set-up with food trucks and beverage stations—it made grabbing something quick and tasty super easy. The bathrooms were large and clean, which is always a plus at a busy venue. The sound quality was excellent, and the stage plus big screens made for a great view no matter where you sat. We had seats near the back, but it still felt close to the action, and even the lawn seats looked like they offered a fantastic view. The only thing that could make it better is if someone figured out how to heat the outdoors—LOL!I’ll definitely be back for more shows here. Clearwater really has a gem in The Sound!
MoreThis venue SHOULD be fantastic. Beautiful. But being outside, it’s hot as hell. They made us throw our water out and then we had to buy a $5 CAN of water— because plastic is “dangerous”. But some liberal doesn’t know that making aluminum produces more toxic sludge that they can’t dispose of. We had seats towards the front but the sun was SO hot that everybody was standing off to the side in the shade. They made everyone sit down and no one could see. I’ll never go see a show here again. The indoor venues here are much better.
MoreI once said i would never go back to Baycare Sound, but up comes a concert that we wanted to see and decided to give it another try. Baycare Sound has a lot to be liked as a venue, but all that goes away due to the terrible way staff runs the concert. We bought tickets in the center section in front of the pit and stage. The staff checked our tickets to make sure we belonged in this section. All was good until the concert started, then it became quite evident that lots of people that didn't have these tickets just started taking the empty seats. The staff stopped enforcing the checks and it became a free for all for seats. Not the best way to run a business and definitely not a way to keep people coming back!
