The Founders Monument was an impressive set of bronze statues that stood in the Main Square outside the Bexar County Courthouse in downtown San Antonio. It was significant as it represented the 56 Canary Islanders who founded San Antonio in 1731. Well worth seeing as it describes the history of the establishment of the city.
