The ceilings have active mold growth, the rooms smell very strongly of smoke and chemicals, the tub looks like it came out of a garbage dump. But the windows open even on the 6th floor so if you don't have small kids and have to stay somewhere and there is no other choice run through the lobby and open your windows wide, you will get nighttime bugs but at least you have fresh air, the beds are comfortable, and the water pressure is good. Best of luck (also watch out of the giant sink hole that took out part of the parking lot)

The hotel was under construction and should not have been open for business. It was extremely dirty and unkempt and details in rooms were unfinished.

My three sons and I were quests in Radisson hotel Cedar Rapids on August 24th. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We love staying here in CR because of your pleasant lobby bar, country breakfast and free parking. We enjoyed all of these amenities.I have a concern with our first impression of your hotel this particular evening. We were in town to attend a close family members visitation and funeral the next morning, driving six hours. It was late evening, we were only ones checking in and needed a luggage cart. None were visible and when we asked for one we were told they were busy. I asked for assistance to find one since the desk attendant was not busy, appeared to be playing on her phone, and was reminded there were none available in a unfriendly tone. I commented that maybe I would be staying at the other Radisson and was told I don't care. We love the Radisson, always treated with respect, great customer service, hope you can address our concern.Sue Scheer

Great staff, great hotel. Took care of me and made me feel welcome. If I am back in the area definitely where I would choose to stay.

I made reservations in February for a stay in July. I received email confirmations with a price of $260.78 for the stay. At check in, my rates had ballooned to $758.24. I was not able to make any progress with the front desk so attempted to contact Choice Hotels Customer Service. I spent an hour on the phone, had asked to escalate the case to a manager and was cut off. I tried again soon after, and was advised to rebook using AAA discount. Unfortunately it was a very busy weekend in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and no other rooms were available for under $400 per night. I literally had no other options. I was advised to speak to a manager on the property. I placed two calls to the manager and left messages. My calls were not returned. The following day, the front desk called to say they would honor my original reservation quotes. I was very thankful and relieved. Upon checkout, my original rates were not honored but they were less than the check in rates, so I decided to press the issue with my credit card company. I'm still working through the process with Chase Services. I do not recommend staying here!
