I'm not sure why they started allowing for smoking but it is HORRIBLE when everyone is lighting up. Also, not all of the slots you may like are downstairs. For years, the customer service has been bad and, they take forever to fix malfunctioning machines/slots.

Great casino, very clean and lots of diffrent slot machines to choose from. Staff is friendly and service is good. Would reccomend.

So we stayed at SEVENTEEN SEVENTEEN for two days for my friend’s 40th birthday. At first, I gave the hotel two stars because the person who checked us in was amazing and patient with us when they couldn’t find our reservations, which I had fully paid for in advance for the deluxe suite. They finally found the reservations, but since we arrived late, they told us that some people don’t realize the later you arrive, the more limited your pick of the draw is. So we got a room above the garage’s top door, but the lights were so bright that the city and water weren’t nice to see at night. We kept the curtains closed while we slept. Anyway, the two stars are for the hotel’s location and the late checkout we were given. The room was beautiful.Now on to the bad, bad. We came back from the casino to get blankets and sheets from the front desk. We woke up and found a bedbug. We were here for a quick getaway from our kids and husbands, and we ended up in a bedbug-infested room. No one from room service picked up our food order in the morning, and the app didn’t work. So we couldn’t get room service. We tried two mornings and for dinner, too. Then, right before checkout, we were told that room service was off for the whole weekend. It was definitely false advertising to say we could order food to our room without issues. We couldn’t even use my $25 food credit. We wanted to eat breakfast in the room. Then they turned aoff our keys before we could check out, even though we had late checkout. We couldn’t get back to the room after going to Dunkin’ Donuts for breakfast. We had to get our keys rekeyed. I wasn’t asked how my stay was or how they could make our stay better. I didn’t even get a “Have a safe trip” or “Thank you for staying with us.” In addition, there was no urgency when we asked for someone to check for the bedbug. However, one of the managers came in to get the sheets and remake our beds since housekeeping couldn’t do it yet.

I had a stellar experience staying at Greektown. The staff was both attentive and friendly. I was impressed that during a late night issue, a woman was sent to my room to resolve. Thank you Maria! JP from electrical also helped solve a minor issue. My bellhop, Michael was helpful with directions and valet. The valet team was efficient and accommodating during my visit. Valet parking is free - a huge incentive to stay. The hotel manager, Bradon, spoke with me several times during my stay. Room was clean, spacious and quiet even though I was close to the elevator. This hotel is within walking distance of plenty of places to eat annd shop. Overall, staff was quick to address questions, find resolutions and engage with guests. I will return.

Good time here, the atmosphere is great and the service on par.
