tripadvisor⚠️ BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE SECURITY DEPOSIT.I strongly recommend checking your credit card statement after staying at this hotel. They charged me a security deposit and, after I checked out, the money was not returned as expected.I had to contact the hotel and follow up to try to get my money back. This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. If you stay here, keep all your receipts, document the condition of your room, and carefully monitor your credit card after checkout.Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend staying here until you are sure that the security deposit will actually be returned.
MoreHonestly worst hotel experience in the United States and it's not even close. I've stayed at other best westerns many times and had no issues, my gripes concern this specific location (Glendale, CA).My stay began with waiting at the empty front office for almost an hour to check in (apparently the ENTIRE staff had to go watch people fix the hot tub so no one was there to man the desk)When I finally got to my room, I was greeted with a bed that literally felt like a rock and comically undersized pillows that couldn't fit my head. Barely slept a wink because it was so uncomfortable, and woke up sore. Moreover, the live TV didn't work even after they tried to fix it, the bathroom light has an idiotic timer that turns off all the lights in the bathroom right when you're 5 minutes into your shower, and the walls are incredibly thin (expect to hear all of your neighbors conversations like you are in the same room). Given the price I paid, I would have been much better off just getting a motel where I could at least sleep comfortably and check into my room.
MoreIt is very nice hotel and I come with all my family and enjoyed here...
MoreWorst experience at a Best Western ever. The staff at check in was unfriendly and focused on making me pay for charges that had not been clear at the time I made the reservation. The room was terrible. Phone was broken so I couldn't call the front desk when the temperature dropped during the night and I found the heater didn't work. Got dressed and walked to the front desk, and the same employee said he would come upstairs in 15 minutes to help me but he never came. I finally gave up on this miserable dump and left during the night.
MoreI booked a 3-night stay in November 2025 and checked in after midnight on the first night. The moment I opened the door, I knew something was wrong—the room looked nothing like the photos advertised online. The overall condition were so far off that I turned around and checked right back out.I was on the property for less than 10 minutes. The front desk instructed me to contact Agoda for a refund, so I did. For the past month, I’ve been stuck in a back-and-forth between Agoda and hotel management while my credit card shows a full charge for all 3 nights. Now the hotel is refusing a refund unless I provide photos as proof—which is absurd. I did not expect that a guest’s complaint would be treated like a legal deposition. I never imagined a Best Western property would require “photographic evidence” before honoring a customer’s word—especially when the issue is false or misleading representation of room conditions. In short: • Room didn’t match the advertised photos • I refused the room immediately • I did not stay the night • I was charged in full • I’m now being asked to prove it with photosIt is astounding to be charged hundreds of dollars for a room I rejected on arrival, and equally astonishing that the hotel’s response has been stonewalling rather than basic customer service.Travelers deserve better than a property that hides behind technicalities rather than standing behind what it advertises. I will never book here again, and I strongly suggest future guests proceed with caution.
