tripadvisorAmazingly that this was our first visit here. The play was excellent and the performers fantastic. Clean theatre with comfortable sets and great view of the stage . The staff was very friendly ,the rickets reasonably priced and free parking . Can’t be beat .
MoreA small and intimate theater, the Oldcastle Theatre Company draws viewers into the drama and holds them there. We try to travel to Bennington often to see an outstanding performance. Many of their productions deserve a Broadway-sized audience. Kudos to the actors, directors, playwrights, and support staff.
MoreMy husband, Ray, and I thoroughly enjoyed a recent evening of Oldcastle’s “Moonlight in Vermont” cabaret of stage and movie songs performed by a very talented pair: Sarah Solari, voice, and Matt Edwards, voice and keyboard. The theatre’s intimate space made the evening even more special. We’re looking forward to attending future cabarets.
MoreWe finally were in town when the theater had a play running and we thoroughly enjoyed the production of Brighton Beach Memories. Excellent cast and the theater is very intimate with great acoustics. The entire cast was fully engaged in giving their best in the performance and my wife, a native of the NYC area, thought they had authentic accents. If we were local, we would attend all productions.
MoreWe were fortunate enough to catch the season's final performance of O'Neill's Long Days Journey into the Night. The small cast of five was up to the task of this look into a dysfunctional family. The entire performance Tok place in one room with five acts to break up the day. All members were outstanding - I was amazed at the amount of lines that had to be learned for the performance. The theater itself was mall but I didn't feel as if I was sitting on the actual set.
