Architecture and design have been my passion since childhood, especially Southern architecture. I fondly recall the grand white columns and spectacular building designs when my family ventured to the Gulf Coast from our Midwestern home. It resulted in my degree in Architecture. After that, I started a successful design firm with clientele in New York, Bali, Indonesia, US Virgin Islands, and Beverly Hills. The 2008 struggles in the real estate market resulted in a move to Thailand and a new focus; I started a retail business importing luxury goods from the US. As a result, it grew into multiple locations throughout Southeast Asia. Which resulted in me making the 2016, "500 List of Most Influential People in Asia" by Tatler Magazine. In 2019, while visiting friends in Mobile, I was reminded of my childhood love of the South. As I drove among the grand oak trees and charming houses, I realized I was homesick and decided to sell my business in Asia and return to the US. Never a person to sit still, I utilized the time during the subsequent pandemic to renovate the historical home I purchased and explore the history of my new city.
