There are quite a few works of art and sculptures scattered around the historic downtown of Georgetown including this interesting piece known as Waterin' the Work Mules on the corner of of Seventh and Main Streets. This is the work of sculptor Bob Coffee (2009). What you will see is a bronze figure of a boy siting upon a mule, one of two hitched to posts and drinking water. The monument references the bygone era when seeing hitched mules around the Georgetown main square would have been a common scene. It is an interesting sculpture, worth having a look if sightseeing the downtown area.
