There are quite a few statues, busts and historic marker monuments scattered around the Historic Downtown of Georgetown including this bust of Harry L. Gold (1920-96), an important local figure who owned the local Gold's Department Store, philanthropist and community activist. You can see the Gold bust on the corner of Seventh and Main. The bust rests upon a marble pillar and includes information related to his life and service to the Georgetown community, worth a quick look-see while sightseeing around the historic main square.
