Rooms are small, but adequate for one person; similar to a stateroom on a ferry, or a single dorm room. Hotel was clean. Hotel was quiet. Staff were helpful; there may be no official hotel desk, but staff was always around the computer check in area. Amenities were minimal; no glass in room, but ask at bar for glass and spoon if you need it. Atmosphere was aimed at those in the late teens to early thirties, but I saw a few older adults as well. Location was urban and close to museums and Fenway, but a little awkward to get to Harvard easily; MIT is an easy half hour walk for me. Breakfast was adequate and healthy options were available. Value: overpriced.

This location? Meh. I loved the CitizenM brand before I stayed here. Unfortunately, there’s some reason that they seem to be completely unaware of Housekeeping needs. The room was clean, but the staff was completely insensitive to Housekeeping needs across the board.

Location is great. They charge $26 for what other hotels would call free breakfast. They will not clean your room if you stay more than one night. “Sorry! That’s an extra service” no clean towels. Nothing. Left the trash in the hall which is what everyone else did too. Expensive hotel for zero service. Most of the staff is rude.

This place is insanely wonderful. The rooms are small, but the common areas are delightful. The large living room gives many options for lounging, working, gathering and enjoying your friends and family. The bar is well stocked and the people working there are quite friendly. The best part of our experience was the front desk person, Jessie. She accommodated us in every way as we had our six month old grandson. She arranged an early check-in and helped us with our bags. The next day she helped me with breakfast again! It has just been a great experience.

I had a problem with my booking and the person working the front desk, Sarai, managed to fix everything with speed and grace. It's a cool property perfectly located for a Sox game and access to Newbury St.
