I have been on two birding trips with Nature Ninja, Texas and Panama. They were AMAZING! For both we covered a variety of habitats to maximize the diversity of species we saw. Tiffany and the guides she works with are so knowledgeable and helpful getting all participants on the birds. Additionally the Nature Ninja tours also have built in social time where participants can get together and reflect on all the great birds (and mammals) we saw each day. On our Panama trip Tiffany partnered with the Canopy Family. Their guides Carlos and Jorge are top notch and the entire staff went above and beyond.Highly recommend Nature Ninja! Tiffany knows how to organize a great trip!

Our September 2026 Hawaiian group tour with Tiffany from Nature Ninja Birding Tours and Mandy from Hawaii Bird Tours was an enjoyable and productive experience. Throughout the ten-day tour, Tiffany and Mandy were unflagging in their efforts to make sure that everyone was seeing birds and was having a good time. We saw many lifers including rare and endangered endemic species. After landing in Hawaii, all the logistics were taken care of—from transport to meals. Also, Tiffany and Mandy were flexible and responsive to what the group wanted to do and what the local conditions were. Not having to deal with logistics and adhere to a rigid schedule helped make the trip relaxing. Included in the tour was a boat trip to see pelagic birds. A boat trip dedicated to bird watching is difficult to find in Hawaii. Going out in the ocean was therefore a unique and fun experience. What made the trip special was Tiffany’s and Mandy’s connection and attachment to endemic birds. They both care deeply for the birds and for the environment. This caring and enthusiasm mean that tours with Nature Ninja and Hawaii Bird Tours are not drive-by tourism. Tiffany had previously worked on a conversation project on the Big Island for endemic birds. Mandy works on many conservation projects in Hawaii. Seeing Tiffany’s and Mandy’s connection to endemic birds and the native flora and fauna along with their in-depth local knowledge enriched our experience.Tiffany and Mandy are excellent guides, they have a strong conservation ethos, and they have pleasant personalities. Tours with Nature Ninja and Hawaii Bird tours are highly recommended.

I knew about Tiffany Kersten and had heard her speak a while before a friend and I signed up for her tour for Rio Grande Specialties in March 2026. We had a wonderful time with her and loved the Peculiar Nest, where we stayed. It is a beautiful, birdy property right on a slow river. Tiffany is a really expert guide in all respects. She knows where we will find the birds, and if the birds aren't showing up at a certain place, she can shift gears and locations seamlessly. Super-knowledgeable. I got the Life Birds I had hoped for and had a great time each day. The group of people for this trip were all so nice. Lois, the proprietress of Peculiar Nest, is actually a better cook than Martha Stewart or Ina Garten. We were extremely well-fed. After I came home from this trip, I couldn't say enough about it. Highly recommend this company and Tiffany, and I will either visit again at another season or join her for one of her other tour locations.

Nature Ninja Birding provides incredible excursions! Five stars/top notch!!! I first met Kristen when she guided a trip on Mohegan Island, Maine during the Acadia Birding Festival. Fast forward to 2025, my daughter and I took a Texas birding tour with Jen through Nature Ninja Birding. Both excursions were exceptionally guided, truly unforgettable, and an absolute joy from start to finish. Highly recommend Nature Ninja Birding to any birding enthusiast!

I have been on two tours with Nature Ninja in Southern TX and am currently signed up for an upcoming international tour. Both of my tours have exceeded my expectations and have given me great experiences to remember. The groups are small and we have had a range of experience levels which are all accommodated well. The lodging in southern TX is at a very cool B&B which made the experience even better. I enjoyed coming back to Peculiar Nest for another tour this year! Tiffany is an expert birder and her knowledge is astounding. If you are a birder, you know that being around other more experienced birders is so beneficial because you are picking up skills for how to be a better birder, and Tiffany is definitely one of those people you want to learn from!
