Beans & Dreams: Nektarios Place is more than a coffee shop, it is a bean of hope. Nektario’s dream was to have his own coffee shop, a dream that has become a reality at Beans & Dreams Nektarios Place. He is our CEO and inspiration. Building a community from the inside, Beans & Dreams is collaborating with Middletown high school to incorporate training classes for individuals enrolled in special education. The training includes a mock café at the high school, teaching students employee duties such as running the register, fulling orders, and interacting with customs. In parallel, students will take fieldtrips to the café, where they can practice new skills, gain experience, and transition into the workforce. By employing individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, Beans & Dreams' goal is to unite local communities in supporting young adults with disabilities as they pursue their inherent civil liberties—life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
