We stopped into the Larimer Arts Center while exploring downtown Palatka, and it turned out to be one of our favorite stops of the day.The building itself is stunning—it's a preserved 1929 historic library with beautiful architecture, high ceilings, and original details that give it so much charm before you even look at the exhibits.Inside, the gallery features a fantastic variety of pieces from regional artists, ranging from paintings and photography to pottery and unique handcrafted gifts. The staff/volunteers were incredibly welcoming, happy to chat about the building’s history and the local arts scene, and never made us feel rushed.It takes about 30 to 45 minutes to browse through comfortably. If you appreciate historic architecture or want to support local creators while visiting Palatka, definitely add this to your itinerary. Free admission (donations appreciated) and very easy street parking nearby. Highly recommend!
