tripadvisorI absolutely loved my mystery picnic date in Dahlonega, Ga. We had an amazing time. The history, the people and the atmosphere was great. I highly recommend it.
MoreWhat a waste of time and money. We got a gift card for this company and I wish we had just gotten a gift card to a restaurant. Not only is this a rip off in terms of what you get for food (we got a couple of good sandwiches, a mediocre charcuterie board and some lame chocolates for $130), but the asks of this company are absurd. Bring your own everything and lug it around wherever you’re exploring before you end up at some random park for a picnic. It’s all nonsensical. My wife and I could have out together a much better experience on our own with a couple of hours of research of the area. Save your time and money for something more fun and worthwhile, or get a gift card for some teenagers. That’s the only demographic I could imagine enjoying this kind of thing.
MoreI did the mystery picnic date in Bainbridge Island, WA. My honest review of the experience- not trying to be mean, just honest as someone who specializes in user experiences for work, and values productive feedback and constructive criticism myself. I wish we could have selected our own salad and sandwich- I wonder the reason for pre-selecting? Consider allowing guests to choose their own food like “select a sandwich from this location” and “select a salad from this location” since they were all very close in price anyway. The diner was out of the pre-selected salad (kale quinoa), and the salad we got in place of that was literally spring mix, onions, and tomatoes. Thats it- not even croutons or cheese. The iced teas were an interesting pre-selection… there’s a really cute tea shop across the way that you might direct guests to next time. The wait at the diner for our salad was also very long. Also it’s my opinion that if you’re going to send someone to a diner, you should pick classic diner food for them to try! I don’t want a kale quinoa salad and an iced tea at a diner when I smell hashbrowns, waffles, bacon and hot chocolate- I want yummy breakfast! I think it’s a little tacky to say the we get “free admission” to a museum as one of the pics when entrance is actually free for everyone… maybe remove that wording and just say head to the free museum not “we paid for admission” when you didn’t. A major disappointment: we simply did not get enough food. 1 salad, 1 sandwich, and 2 pieces of fudge isn’t enough for 2 adults actively walking around. The food didn’t come with sides… we ended up walking to the Mexican place across the street for more lunch bc we were so hungry. This was the big letdown for us- it’s supposed to be a picnic, and we left hungry!Maybe send people to a different winery next time- the one we went to was v crowded, and many people around us were getting free additional samples and we weren’t offered any. I will say I love the area and had fun exploring, but some logistics didn’t make sense to us. We’re a bit disappointed- we work hard and spent a lot of money to be hungry by the end of it and one of the locations didn’t even have the salad that was selected for us. Thank you for taking the time to read this- I really am just trying to provide honest feedback, bc I genuinely love the idea of this experience, but I work very hard and think carefully about where I spend my money, and I don’t feel that I got the $170 I spent on this worth.
MoreI have now done 3 AmazingCo mystery picnics, and I have enjoyed every single one. They are very well thought out and planned, and I love trying new food and new places. The games you can play between destinations is also an added bonus. I would recommend this for couples and/or best friends! It is such a fun bonding experience!
MoreMy husband I received this as a gift for our anniversary. We had a very good time. It was well organized, clues were fun and the food was very good.
