Fun way to explore Galveston. We have some fun photos from our searches, too!

A cute drive on a hot day to keep cool and see some of Galveston you would have not normally wandered through. Definitely could take all day to see all of them. . We did the Galveston Midtown and Pelican Island and it took about 3 hours with stopping and walking around a couple of the parks. A few on the map are not in place anymore (33&35) One has a parking fee of $10 (17) and a number of others were behind gated or fenced areas which were closed or you would need to pay to get in to the locations if you wanted to see them up close but, you could see them through the fences. Kudos to whoever planned and marketed this as it brings you to local parks and businesses.

We're a family of nature-lovers and turtle fans so this was a fun way to get to know Galveston. As we were exploring Galveston, from time to time we'd pass a turtle. Naturally we'd snap a photo to add to our collection!
