The energy here is nothing like First Avenue which in all fairness is one of the best venues in the country for live music, but The Fillmore is still a pretty good place to catch a show. I usually stand in GA, and I've never seen it overcrowded with a crush of people if you don't mind being in the back of the room. Of course, it gets more packed the closer you are to the stage. Overpriced alcohol just like all the other music venues in town but never much of a wait to get a drink. Beware of the parking ramp around the corner on N 5th Avenue. Always easy to find a spot here but it takes forever to exit. Better to find metered street parking on a side street off N 5th Street (so long as there isn't a Twins game going on) or use the Light rail to get here as it stops right next door.

*Of the trees concert brought me here* Overall production & services inside the venue were great. The line to get in took an hour during a night where the temperature was below freezing so that harshly effected the experience. Only caught 15 mins of the artist I came to see (detox unit). The show seemed oversold as there was not a spot in the building to be comfortable. Now on to the good stuff, the stage and lights were spectacular. They built an open house on stage and projected windows onto it. There were a few chandeliers that lit the club up quite nice. The bar had drinks dedicated to the artist & tour. Drinks came in a shaker that we were able to bring home so kudos to the Fillmore for the souvenir.
