The variety on this tour is simply amazing. One of my favorites was Dos Hermanos Bakery where we received not only seriously tasty sandwiches and pastries, but a complete tour of their family operation. Last stop of the day at Revolution Hall was great. We had refreshing drinks on their Roof Top Bar overlooking Portland.

Be prepared for tons of excellent food, good company, and inspiring stories. The Portland food tour has it all! The food stops were well thought out and spaced just right for a walking tour. So much food!I loved hearing from the restaurant owners and learning about their businesses. Their stories were inspiring. Joe and Ashley were great hosts!

Joined the Portland Food Tours inaugural tour event today. Had a fantastic time walking Portland’s Waterfront to downtown, enjoying delicious coffee and pastry at Our Spot, then an awesome Pork Katsu Sandwich at Tokyo Sando located in the Mid Town Beer Garden Food Cart Pod. We then moved on to Iraqi Chicken and Beef with a beautiful Eggplant Stew at DarSalam (Downtown)! We then crossed the river to Obon Shokudo where we sampled Udon, tomato and zucchini with a cold Pistachio Miso dipping sauce, the flavors melded together amazingly! We stopped next at Dos Hermanos Bakery, where we toured the facility where the bake amazing breads, pastries and build tasty sandwiches. They go through more than 7000 pounds of flour each day. We had an excellent chopped sandwich and pastry before moving on to our final stop, Revolution Hall, where we enjoyed delightfully refreshing Strawberry and Marionberry Ice Cream, followed buy a visit to the rooftop bar and a frozen adult beverage. Joe and Ashley went all out to deliver a fantastic culinary experience in a four hour tour. They were full of information about the restaurants we visited and the areas of town we were in. We truly enjoyed the diversity reflected by the local business owners. We had more food than we could eat, so we were glad we brought a small cooler bag to carry our leftovers. We will join the Portland Food Tour again, and highly recommend joining them.

It was such a beautiful walk in Portland today on The Portland Food Tour! Loved all of the amazing stops. The unique flavors of these locally owned, small businesses are such a valuable component of the richness of Portland. The spirit of entrepreneurial excellence is inspiring! So amazing to hear the stories behind these establishments and the creation of their menus. We were treated so well and not only tasted amazing food and drink but the extra fun gift and merch were a treat too.Joe and Ashley created a great experience with fun facts and recommendations along the route with stops not too far apart; enough time to enjoy what was served with moments to rest, cool off, drink water and see some great views along the way. We were glad we brought a portable, soft cooler to save and revisit these delicious flavors! Our Spot; perfect place to start! Great coffee with fun reusable vessels to keep.Tokyo Sando; amazing sandwiches in the cool outdoor space of Midtown Beer GardenDarSalam; beautifully decorated downtown location and the food was so tasty.Obon Shokudo created a special offering just for us that included the most amazing cold pistachio miso, so yummy!Next Dos Hermanos where we were treated to a great tour of this growing bakery and cafe. Then of course we were treated to mouthwatering chopped sandwich and pastries. We were then treated to Nico’s Ice Cream before we headed in to Revolution Hall for a tour and on the rooftop for another amazing Portland view!Great activity for a fun date, out of town visitors, and for those who want to experience unique and delicious flavors in Portland.
