tripadvisorGreat location, blackout curtain straight up works, friendly staff, just be careful of gaps around the bed - if anything fall through it'll be hard to retrieve. Free padlock and luggage storage.
MoreI had a great stay at Meco Hotel. Very friendly and helpful personnel. The location is amazing. Just 2 walking minutes away from TD Garden where the Boston Celtics play their home games. And also a lot of other sights are in walking distance. I would recommend it if you want to explore the city by foot and don't want to spend too much money per night.
MoreThis is the WORST place to stay, thought it would be great. BUT, after checking in, I was getting my bed situated and another person walks in and abruptly tells me I am in their bed. They tell me they just checked in and I was like I just checked in. They went back to front desk and got taken care of with a different bed. I then go about my visit in Boston. When I get back to sleep, they gave my bed away, yet AGAIN, and someone was sleeping in it. I ended up not being there 2:30pm-11:30pm and they told me to contact booking.com for refund, now they will not even acknowledge or respond to booking.com or me, and booking.com encouraged me to call, email and leave bad reviews anywhere and everywhere I could to help me get my monies back. AWFUL place needs more than highschoolers running their business.
MoreI stayed in female dormitory. Overall I love it. It was clean & just what I needed, a safe place to sleep. They only opened a few weeks ago & are working through some kinks but they are very accommodating. Upon check in- they do ask for a selfie picture on their iPad for security reasons. No one is allowed in without a reservation. My dormitory had pods & bunks. I stayed on a lower bunk. There is storage for luggage under each pod/bunk. Inside your sleeping area, you have controls for a fan, light, & bed incline (my incline didn’t work but I was too tired to care). You have an outlet with USB port to charge devices. There is also a shelf & wall net organizer for your things. Every bed had an adjustable privacy blind, pillow, mattress sheet & blanket. On my floor, there were 4 bathrooms with showers. They provide towels. The 7th floor lounge is still under construction but there is a small reception area in the lobby & that’s where I sat to work on a few things & eat. The location is great; Near the north station. I walked to Boston Common without any issues. My suggestion would be to issue guests common courtesy expectations such as:Flush the toilet if the sensor doesn’t do it for you (or instal urinals for men) Leave shower/bathroom clean for next guest. If you must talk on the phone go out in the hall or to lobby - shared rooms are quiet areas. People are sleeping even during the day.
