The room next door had two teenagers who kept us up past 4 AM. We tried calling the lobby twice but no one answered. Finally my wife went down to the lobby after 4 to complain. The staff did very little to help. It was the worst experience I’ve had in a hotel. The walls are paper thin and the breakfast was terrible and they ran out of bowls, spoons, and cups.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, great, modern decor, tasty breakfast, tea at night, infused water 24/7. Helpful, personable staff.

We stayed at the Element to run the Carmel Marathon in the morning. Everything was great, the studio apartment we stayed in was fantastic, staff were friendly, gym was clean and breakfast was great. 5 out of 5 so far. We were on the 5th floor facing the courtyard. However, the music from the courtyard was so loud even after 11pm on a Saturday (I get it, people party on the weekends), my husband called the desk at 11:20pm after looking down at the empty courtyard. The staff noted to turn the music down but only after another 20 minutes. We were not able to sleep still after mid-night and unfortunately, our alarm clock goes off at 5am for the early morning race. The lack of a good night sleep before the race altered our great experience to average. We would not stay there again because we don't party late and prefer a good night rest over all the great amenities.

Worst Marriott chain hotel I’ve stayed in, and my wife and I have more than 300 nights with Marriott. Breakfast? Forget it. Where was the milk?Entrance doors? Locked with NO means to enter.Shower? Totally slippery floors.Front desk? Employee more interested in cellphone than anything else.I’d rather stay in a Motel 6. At least you know what to expect there. Not at the Element.Stay aeay

New hotel with spacious rooms, pleasant staff, free breakfast and a convenient proximity to business needs for us. Got a gigantic suite with full kitchen and table, which was perfect for our business needs. Tallison hotel is attached and has a nice bar/restaurant you can charge to your Element room.We have stayed here 3 times since opening and will continue to come back.
