Impacting someone's confidence with my skills is very gratifying to me. I am empathetic, a great listener, and I love making people feel good about them selves. I had a prestigious education at Douglas J Aveda Institute. When I graduated, I was employed by Miss Michigan and was her personal stylist. I traveled around the United States with her for a year. For over 20 years, I worked as a self employed hairdresser at a salon that earned a reputation in the top 20 best Salons in Michigan. I moved to Mississippi and worked in another award-winning salon and built a full clientele from nothing in just two years. I am back in my home state, with full knowledge of today's looks and styles, and ready to use my talents on you! I'm equally good and confident with guys cuts, women's cuts, long and short hair, color, highlights, balayage, ombres, perms, facial waxing, or just styling. I specialize in blonding, and have a skill for men’s perms. On a personal note, I have three grown daughters and three grandchildren. My oldest daughter is also a successful hairstylist and a salon owner in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I have been playing guitar and singing since I was 15. I played my guitar and sang in church for years. I love to develop long meaningful friendships with my clients and will always do my best to keep you interested and excited about your hair.
